UFC 104 is set. Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida will be defending his UFC World Light Heavyweight belt against number one contender Mauricio "Shogun" Rua on October 24, 2009 in Los Angeles.

Machida became the new Light Heavyweight champion when he defeated former champion and previously undefeated Rashad Evans earlier this year. The Japanese-Brazilian fighter is still undefeated in MMA (15-0), and has yet to lose a single round in his UFC career.

Many say that you don't become a champion unless you successfully defend your title, and it will certainly be a test for Machida when he defends his belt for the first time against former Pride champion Shogun.

Shogun became the number one contender for Machida's title when he defeated UFC hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell last April.
